APRIL 2002 - Fate has called and destiny has sung it's song. In a sudden turn of events, " J. Ball " has heard a new calling. As of May 2002, " J. Ball " will be RELOCATING to the NorthWest Pacific. It has become apparent to J. Ball that his heart truly belongs to the West coast. In accordance, *Portland, Oregon* will be the new home-base of " J. Ball & Root Love." J. Ball will recruit a NEW band to continue his fresh approach to his music. J. Ball would like to take a moment to thank all of those in Austin, Texas that supported and helped him during his Southern stay. AUGUST 2001

"J. Ball & Root Love" finished recording their first full length album entitled "Among The Trees." They worked with producer/engineer Jason Richards (from the band "Quatropaw") at "Clockright Studios" located in South Austin, Texas. The sessions were very productive and filled with dynamic and diverse musical energy. Most of the songs on this 17 track album hint upon rock, pop, folk and hip-hop stylings. The new album is also filled with funny studio outtakes/interludes and surprise answering machine messages. "Among The Trees" is now available for sale at the "MERCHANDISE" section of www.JBallmusic.com.
